Uthayan office attacked ............

An unidentified group consisting of seven individuals have attacked the office of Tamil newspaper “Uthayan” in Killinochchi at around 4.50 this morning (04), the Police Media Unit told Pawasa News. The unidentified group have attacked the staff present at the office at the time and had also severely damaged the office. Two of the injured employees of the newspaper, owned by Tamil National Alliance (TNA) MP of the Jaffna District Saravanabavan, have been admitted to the KIlinochchi Hospital. The damage to the office of the newspaper has not been estimated as yet, while the suspects involved in the attack have fled the scene following the incident. The Killinochchi Police are carrying out further investigations into the incident.
