Party in place of Minister Maithripala Sirisena, UNP Monaragala
Provincial Councilor Tissa Kuttiarachchi said Monday.
Kuttiarachchi said the government was not interested in giving any subsidies to the poor people even for the New Year season.
UNP spokesman Gayantha Karunathilake
said the government should reduce the price of fuel because the world
prices have decreased.
Karunathilake said the government should
give its opinion on the submissions made to the Public Utilities
Commission with regard to the hike in electricity tariffs.
He said the 5% are the ones who spend the poor people’s money while depending on them.
