Two
cases have been filed at the Colombo District Court requesting an
injunction order against appointing Jayantha Dharmadasa as the Chairman
of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC).
The cases were filed by the
representatives of the Colombo and Panadura Sports Societies and were
taken up at courts Monday (April 8).
The Sports Minister, Sports Ministry
Secretary and the Chairman of the SLC have been mentioned as respondents
in the case which states that Dharmadasa does not have the requisite
qualifications to hold the post.
The court granted time until April 22
for the relevant parties to place any objections to the case and will be
taking up case again on that day.
