The
government at no point will allow religious segregation and
segmentation in Sri Lanka, Health Minister Maithripala Sirisena said
Wednesday.
At a press briefing in Colombo, he
observed that racial and religious harmony is a foremost aspiration of
the government and it will strive to maintain it stringently.
Minister Sirisena conceded that a few
incidents did take place that threatened the harmony, however adding
that the government or any parties aligned with the government were not
involved in such incidents.
